Welcome to Clyde River Cottages& Campground,It's our family business and our names are Ruth and Fred Hemeon of Clyde River, Shelburne County. We are long time residents of the county, one of the most important commercial fishing regions in Nova Scotia.

Clyde River Cottages&Campground is just 11 kilometers(7 miles) from Highway #103 on the Clyde River Road, a picturesque country road that follows the twists and turns of the Clyde River, once one of the most important Atlantic salmon rivers in the province. Today, the river continues to attract fishermen, hunters and canoeing enthusiasts from many parts of North America and beyond.The road may seem long the first you drive it, but it only takes 10 minutes or so, and you will agree when you arrive that it's well worth the drive here when your eyes take in the beauty of the grounds,campground& cottages.You can see many testimonials to the fact by visiting the bottom of any page and see" what our guests have to say".

The cottages&campground are only 25 minutes from the village of Barrington or Shelburne ; about an hour from 'The Cat' ferry terminal in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and 15 minutes from the 18 hole golf course(River Hills Golf&Country Club).

When traveling from Halifax take Highway #103 West to Clyde River,turn on the first road on your right(called the Upper Clyde Road),just past the green bridge, or from Yarmouth Highway #103 East, to Clyde River,take first road on the left just before the green bridge,(don't go over the bridge or take any other exits} - the Upper Clyde Road is just opposite our highway sign in the village.

Visiting here in Fall with all the trees with beautiful leaves that have turned all colors has to be the best time of year!The warm days and the crisp clear nights where you can sit outside,have a fire or watch all the stars in the sky is unbeatable.It's back to nature at it's best.

Pets Welcome!

We welcome your pets if they are kept off the furniture or beds,cleaned up after and leashed when outside.Please keep them as quiet as possible.There's an extra $10 charge for pets that shed alot.
At the campground,keep them leashed outside and cleaned up after.
